Alexander Graham Bell's Tetrahedral Kites

29.7.17

Although best known for developing the practical telephone, Alexander Graham Bell is also noted for his work in aerodynamics. This series of photographs, mainly been sourced from Bell's own private journals and the Bulletin of his Aerial Experiment Association, depict the scientist and his colleagues demonstrating and testing out a number of different kite designs, all based upon the tetrahedral structure.
